Katie, I don't really know much about this situation with you and your dad, but I agree with you that it was completely wrong on his part to do what he did. I know he loves you though, he has to! Why else would he want you to come over all the time, and be with you? I think he just wants to prove that he loves you, while balancing Stephanie. And I'm trying not to judge your dad, because i dont know him, but I think he made a huge mistake leaving you guys. And I know it must be hard for you because you hate what your dad had done, but you still love him, and it's almost impossible to be happy for him when he is completely clueless about how much he's hurt you and your mom. I'm not really sure what the point of this comment is, but i just wanna let you know that I am here for you, and i can kind of relate to you because my parents are divorced also. That really stinks about xavier, but I think it's getting better. He's talking to you more in my opinion. And about your dad, just remember you dont have to do anything you don't want to. My dad always plays the guilt card on me, but I'm getting kind of immune to it, and he knows that I have a lot more to do now because of high school. So ya, just tell him you don't want to, or you had previously-made commitments.

im sorry to hear about ur parents splitting up it must be really hard for u. i do agree that ur dad being engaged to another woman just a month later is really soon but im not sticking up fir this stephanie woman but u being angry at ur parents spitting up ur gonna take all ur anger out on this stephanie, all she did is fall in love with ur dad i know u must find that hard coz u want ur mum n dad back together but it is hard on stephanie too coz she has got involved with a man who has just split up with hes wife and shes gonna get all the blame shes gonna get all the hate turned on her even to she didnt do anything wrong. I met my b.f who he had split from his wife 8 years before i got with him n yet hes daughter still hated me for it i didnt understand why she hated me coz i was going out with her dad, her mum had a b.f but she didnt like that her dad had a new g.f yet i suffered through her insecurities. all im saying is u dont need to hate this stephanie woman she cud be nice but take ur anger out on ur parents, i do hope ur parents get back together xx [bettyboop19]

so pretty much best friends they drive us crazy and we cant live without them.oh i pretty much i have been in so many situations were i have lost so called best friends.people change and things change do.nothing ever stays the same.i just graduated from high school and im so glad its over.be prepared for drama and boy drama.oh yeah and having your best friend backstabb you hurts trust me.dont ever make someone your everything because when they leave you have nothing.always have more then one best friend because its nice to know to have someone to call when you get in a fight.i have like 5 main close friends.& im always jealous of plenty of people.ahh jerks.i hate people that come in friends eww best friend stealers[vanitybaby08]

if i have this baby. this baby that i did not even get one ounce of enjoyment making, i will not be able to start collge this year and i will have to gain alot of un needed weight and go thorugh the pain of labor and the thought that i have a child out there osmewhere iin the world. i will not be able to handle that.
I would much rahter have an abortion because no matter what i do im going to miss something. but i dont have to go through much pain with an abortion.
Im just tired of crying. and tired of having all these rememberences of this dude who f***ed me over [literally] i appreciate ur commetn tho
and age doesnt matter, alot of people have great advice when they are younger.
and with my experiences, dads suck

Umph. Wow. I wanna say, I know how you feel soooo badly right now, but I won't. Cuz I prolly don't. And I hate it when people go around acting like they know exactly what you're going through and all that other crap. I will say that I'm going through something kinda similar. Umm... I guess. Of course, its my mom who's been doin' the heart breaking. I get that you're hurt. Won't say I understand exactly what's happenin to you (yet another thing I HATE when people do) but I will tell you, using my own experiences as support, that living life trying to always be positive and smile even though inside you feel like you're being ripped apart is rough. It makes sense to not want to meet the woman who's been trampling on the happy family you've had all you're life. I absolutely hate having to meet my mom's boyfriends.
Okay... now... I gotta say this, just cuz it's gonna bug me if I don't (and please oh please don't think i'm trying to be rude or act like I'm higher than you and I know everything there is to know because honestly I don't know everything and I'm really really not trying to be rude at all) but you gotta give your pop a little bit of slack at some point (doesnt have to be now). I mean, he seems to be really trying to make you understand that he's sorry, even though it may seem hard to believe that at all. And give his girlfriend a chance. She might be okay... umm also don't take this the wrong way but... loving you and loving your mom are two different things. And before you get pissed off! I think that you're dad probably does love your mom. You can't just blow off 16 years of marriage! But it's prolly not the same as it used to be.. ya know?

hi. first off, i hope you feel better. i know it hurts.
my dad cheated on my mom for four (+?) years with this woman who is now my stepmother (vomit) in another country and when he finally decided to talk to me about it, he said he couldnt stand being in my house anymore. he left two years ago and finally decided to explain some stuff to me last summer when i went to visit him and i got similar things. "i havent been happy for a while; it has nothing to do with you; etc"
i guess the only difference is i hate him haha. but i know what its like to not have someone youre used to having around daily just up and leave and be gone like that.
but yeah, i hope you feel better. support your mom, i think you need each other. and if you ever want to talk, you can e-mail me at bananamia@gmail.com :)

honey, im really really sorry this is happening to you! my dad left a few days before i turned 13. instead of talking to me, he left me a note. my mom also told me not to say anything. but i cried for hte next week on and off at school. so ya, i told people-just close friends though. hang in there. mdd is great for support. my thoughts are with you. **hugs** [sweetazzhonee]

You know, there are so many feminist in this world, but I can not remember ever meeting a man who treated me like less of a person because I was a female. You are going to be treated like you act. Not by all men..some men are jerks..but if you act like a moron, a guy is going to treat you that way. Men have always expected me to fulfill my duties equally and what not...because they know I can I guess. If you act needy, you will be treated as such. I think maybe you take things too personally. Don't let one bad relationship set an example for all men. Why do you worry about this sh*t so much? Like, "What is a true best friend?" In high school..there is no such thing. You probably won't keep in contact with anyone you meet in high school after high school much longer. Does it really matter? [caffeinefree]
